Daniel Coleman, the creator and host of the children’s YouTube series “Danny Go!”, announced Friday that his 14-year-old son Isaac had died.

Coleman shared the news on Instagram on May 22, writing that Isaac died on May 21 after a months-long cancer battle. “Oh my sweet boy,” Coleman wrote. “There’s so much I want to say, but I don’t know how yet. I already miss you so much, and the pain in my heart is far more than I can process.”

What Coleman shared

In the post, Coleman described Isaac’s 14 years as full of challenges, but said his son met them with “grit” and kept his “trademark joy” through it all. He wrote that remembering how loved Isaac was gave him comfort.

“Being your dad was the honor of a lifetime,” Coleman wrote. “I’m so proud of you and I love you forever. Rest peacefully, son.”

Coleman is also father to Levi, and is married to Mindy Coleman. USA Today reported that “Danny Go!” has more than 4.76 million YouTube subscribers and is available on Netflix and Prime Video.

Isaac’s health battle

According to TODAY and USA Today, Coleman first announced Isaac’s cancer diagnosis in December 2025, saying doctors had found cancer in Isaac’s mouth. Isaac had Fanconi anemia, a rare inherited condition that can cause blood disorders, bone marrow failure and increased cancer risk.

In January, Coleman said Isaac underwent surgery to remove cancer from his mouth. USA Today reported that the cancer had spread more than doctors expected, requiring removal of teeth and a significant amount of mouth tissue.

By February, Coleman said Isaac’s cancer was stage 3 and close to stage 4 because of how quickly and aggressively it had spread. He later canceled his 2026 “Danny Go!” tour to prioritize time with his family.

A public figure, a private grief

“Danny Go!” is built around energetic music, movement and educational videos for young children. That made the announcement especially painful for many parents who knew Coleman through a show associated with joy and family routines.

Ms. Rachel, another major children’s creator, publicly asked her community to send love and prayers to Coleman’s family, saying they were thinking about Isaac’s “amazing joy” and the family’s immense pride.

This is ultimately a family loss before it is an internet story. The verified facts are simple and sad: Coleman announced that Isaac died at 14 after cancer, and the family is mourning a child who had lived through years of serious medical challenges.

NoDechev note: confirmed by Coleman’s public Instagram announcement and multiple mainstream reports. Out of respect for the family, this brief avoids speculation beyond what Coleman has shared publicly.
